To enjoy God, we must not hold on to some sin in our life. God loves us but He hates sin. He hates any sin that is in the life of His child. Whatever the sin is, it is displeasing to God.
To please God, you must give up all sins that entangle you. If you do not give it up, it will rob you of your joy. If you want to please God and enjoy God, you must maintain a clear conscience towards God and towards other people.
Paul said,
“I myself always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men.” (Acts 24:16)
Today, if you have sinned against God, confess that sin to Him and count on Him to do what He says He will do.
The Bible says,
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)
If you have wronged someone, humble yourself and go to that person and make things right. Confess your part fully. Admit totally that it is your fault and ask him/her to forgive you. If you need to make restitution, do this at once and make things right again.
Determine in your heart that you will obey God at all cost. Begin now! True believers are obeyers of God! You can start by reading some christian teaching answers everyday. The Bible says,
“Hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.” (1 John 2:3)
You cannot please the Lord if you do not obey Him. It is to those who love and obey Him that the Lord Jesus manifests Himself. Jesus said,
“The person who has my commandments and obeys them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and will reveal myself to him.” (John 14:21)
