Halo 3 for Xbox is considered the best first person shooter for a console. Especially when gamers talk about the first Halo game called Halo: Combat Evolved. The game is considered a scientific first-person shooter and the gamer plays as the main character that is called Master Chief. Gamers all around the world as well as gamer magazine’s have dubbed Master Chief as the Silent warrior, since he’s known for not saying a whole lot during game play. The gamer however does learn a lot of background information from Master Chief’s AI Companion known as Cortana. Not only does Cortana provide the gamer with a lot of background information, she also provides a lot of comical relief as well.
In 2000 when Halo: Combat Evolved came out, it sold 6.5 million copies and broke entertainment industry records. Due to quick sales and constant uprising of the game, it also quickly became Xbox’s flagship enterprise. Four years later came the release of Halo 2. Halo 2 quickly broke the records that Halo: Combat Evolved had achieved. Give Bungie Studio’s another few years and gamers had Halo 3 for Xbox 360. Halo 3 quickly became the largest pre-ordered game in history and sold over $170 million worth of copies within its first 24 hours of release.

When you think of Microsoft and Xbox what’s the first thing that comes to mind? Is it Halo by Bungie Studios? It is to many gamers all around the world. Before Bungie studio’s released the highly anticipated Halo trilogy it released such games as the Myth series, Marathon and Oni. It was founded in 1991 by two undergraduate students and primarily based their games for Macintosh. Although when Bungie was first introduced to the gaming world, they went under the name ‘Bungie Software Products Corporation.’
When Bungie Studios teamed up with Microsoft back in 2000, they released a game called Halo: Combat Evolved. During its release it sold 6.5 million copies and was dubbed Xbox’s flagship franchise. In 2004 Halo 2 made its release and sold $125 million copies, surpassing what Halo: Combat Evolved had achieved. In 2007, Halo 3 made it’s highly anticipated debut for the Xbox 360 and surpassed what Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 had achieved. Within its first 24 hours of release it sold $170 million worth of copies.

With new Halo 3 Armor permutations, gamers are now able to customize their online character. The new armor permutations we’re first noticed during the Halo 3 beta and these new armor pieces can be unlocked by achieving different tasks throughout game play. Gamers are able to choose from two different character’s when they play online.They can either play as the Covenant Elite or they can play as UNSC SPARTAN-II, or, better known was Master Chief.
If the player decided to play as Master Chief, there is various permutations 6144 armor at their disposal. The reason the number is higher compared to the gamer who plays as a Covenant Elite is due to the fact that more gamers choose to play as Master Chief. When the gamer decides to play as Master Chief, they will be able to choose from 11 helmets, 8 shoulder pieces and 8 chest pieces. This will allow for a combo of 1 helmet, 2 shoulder pieces and a chest piece for their character.

Halo 3 skulls allow gamers to make the game more challenging or interesting. They can do things such as: Change dialogue, appearance and physics as well as game play. These skulls can however can cause much frustration. Since they are located out of the way in many levels, gamers may not know where to look for them, since they are always located out of the way. There are however different walkthroughs available for them, to be able to help them to locate all of the skulls.
All together there are 13 skulls that can be found, but there are two different categories of skulls. You have your Gold Skulls, which in general can change game play and allow the gamer to make it more challenging. There are 9 gold skulls in total and when a gold skull is first found, the gamer will receive 10 gamer points. If the gamer is able to collect all 9 skulls, then he or she will have unlocked the body and shoulder Hayabusa armor pieces.

It seems like what’s been called the Halo trilogy may not be an actual trilogy after all. It’s been said that the developer’s of Halo are in works with Peter Jackson who is best known for his Lord of the Rings trilogy movies. It’s been reported that they are in talks for making another Halo game called Halo Chronicles. Gamers are able to visit the Halo website for information regarding any Bungie Studio’s news and upcoming projects, but for now gamers have Halo for Xbox for their gaming needs. So until then gamers, finish the fight and continue playing Halo 3 for Xbox.

Due to the ever growing success of the trilogy, the Halo Bungie website has evolved. It’s a place for gamers to acquire information from the developer’s about their next big project. It was mentioned on the website that the developer’s have been in works with Peter Jackson who is known for the Lord of the Rings trilogy and it’s been recorded that they are in works for another Halo game called Halo: Chronicles. So maybe gamers haven’t seen the end of Halo just yet.

It was mentioned earlier that gamers could choose to play as either a Covenant Elite or Master Chief. If the gamer decides to play as a Covenant player, then he or she will be able to choose from 625 different Halo 3 Armor permutations once they are all unlocked. The Halo for Xbox games haven’t just stopped with this console. They haven’t been released for another console, but they have begun to be released for the PC. Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 have been released for the home PC and gamers are currently waiting for the release of Halo 3 on their home PC’s, so gamers will still continue to have to play Halo 3 for Xbox 360 until it’s released. Due to the large success of the Halo Franchise, it has been dubbed as ‘Halo Nation’ and many people have actually referred it to the Star Wars Franchise.

If a gamer whishes to obtain these skulls, what he or she has to do is begin a level starting from the very beginning. They also have to be on a Normal difficulty or a higher difficulty such as Heroic or Legendary. Once the gamer has found a Halo 3 skull, they can then save and quit the level if they wish too. However this is not the case for the IWHBYD skull, in this case the gamer must complete the entire mission until they have reached the final battle scene.

The Halo Bungie website has become a very popular website for Halo gamers. It allows gamers to be able to log in and take a look at their statistics and ranks. Since it’s such a large community, gamers can also find ways to beat a level they are having a hard time with, or learn new tips and tricks for their online play so that they can make their way to the top in their ranking. Gamers can talk to each other about the games as well as purchase Halo memorabilia off of the website.
