The gamer can unlock pieces of armor by defeating the game on Heroic or Legendary difficulty level, or some pieces of armor maybe unlocked by collecting skulls or by completing different achievements throughout game play. These armor permutations we’re developed by developers to allow gamers to be able to customize their online character. They can allow the gamer to make their character better reflex themselves, or allow the gamer to be able to set themselves apart from the many gamers who play Halo 3 online.

Halo 3 skulls allow gamers to make the game more challenging or interesting. They can do things such as: Change dialogue, appearance and physics as well as game play.
