While the idea of a hands-free diving experience is enticing, many divers probably have reservations about the functionality of the actual mask; so did our testers. They found that Liquid Image not only produced a durable camera, but they placed it inside a functional dive mask. The actual mask features a sturdy plastic frame, tempered glass lenses, strap mounts, battery compartments on both sides, low volume transparent silicone skirt, and the camera mechanism. While a transparent skirt can present a problem for some divers, the transparency is necessary since the skirt houses the recording light. Furthermore, the overall design of the VideoMask 310 reduces light issues commonly associated with transparent skirts. Additionally, the mask did not fog during testing and sealed properly, snorkel cam review.
